Susan Courtney

What would you like to change in your life?

  • Your feelings, emotions and moods?
  • Your relationships?
  • Your direction?
  • Yourself?

You think you may need help in some way or other–someone to listen to you, someone to question what you say, someone to help you understand and to make changes for the better.

It’s not an experience that you can share with just anyone.  For the past twelve years I have been helping people in distress or upheaval in their lives who have had difficulties with:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Fears and phobias
  • Guilt, shame and jealousy
  • Confusion and anger
  • Trauma
  • Abuse and manipulation – emotional, physical and sexual
  • Bereavement, loss and separation
  • Relationships
  • Redundancy and major life changes
  • Feeling lost, hopeless and out of control
  • Personal and spiritual growth and development

to revive their connection with who they truly are and develop greater

  • Confidence
  • Self-esteem
  • Trust
  • Awareness and insight
  • Authenticity
  • Spontaneity
  • Intimacy
  • Purpose and direction
  • Joy
  • Fulfilment
  • Peace of Mind

It’s most important that you are given the time and space to tell your own story, and to be really heard, and taken seriously, and understood.  Together we attune our ears to the whispers of your heart, encouraging the essence of who you truly are to emerge more fully and guide you to a more satisfying life.

Drawing on intuition, creativity and humour, we will use a range of approaches.  Some are able to offer rapid relief for emotional upset in an immediate crisis. Others can help bring richer meaning, purpose and depth to your life as we find the balance between your need for acceptance just as you are and your desire for relief, healing, and change as you grow into a more satisfying engagement with life.

The way we work together will reflect this:  it will be safe, respectful, confidential and effective.  My counselling and psychotherapy practice is in W1 in Central London near Harley Street and in Eastleigh, Hampshire, within easy reach of tube and bus (London), or bus, train and motorway connections (Hampshire).
